Roots, Branches & Blessings

Two girls in grey and pink school uniforms holding up a small tree ready to be planted in Haiti

What a day to remember. On May 1st, students, teachers, and families of A New Generation 4 Haiti gathered together for a school picnic that turned into something far bigger than a celebration. It became a moment of purpose, joy, and living faith.

A Garden of Community

This year's picnic was made even more special thanks to a partnership with the Agriculture Department, which invited every school in the program to participate in a collective tree-planting initiative. And our school showed up with hearts open, hands ready, and full of excitement.

"What an awesome opportunity for our school to participate and reflect the love of Christ!"

Students knelt in the earth and placed young saplings into the ground with their own hands. It was more than a gardening exercise. It was a living lesson about patience, stewardship, and hope. These are values that sit at the very heart of what A New Generation 4 Haiti stands for.

Every Tree Tells a Story

Trees grow slowly. They require care, nourishment, and time. But when tended with love, they rise tall, offer shade, and bear fruit for generations. As our children pressed their palms into the soil on May 1st, they were not just planting trees. They were planting promises. A promise to care for creation. A promise to keep growing. A promise to let Christ's love take root in everything they do.

More Than a Picnic

Laughter filled the air, friendships were deepened, and a spirit of unity carried through the entire day. The Agriculture Department's program gave every school a shared mission, and we are so grateful our community could stand alongside others. Each group doing its part, together making the land a little greener and the world a little brighter.

To our students: you showed up with such enthusiasm and such heart. Watching you embrace this opportunity reminded us why this school exists. To raise up a new generation that serves, loves, and leads with the character of Christ.

To our teachers, volunteers, and families: thank you for making this day possible. Your investment in these young lives never goes unnoticed.

May the trees our students planted continue to grow, and may the seeds of faith planted within them grow even stronger.

We look forward to many more moments like this one. Keep watching this space as A New Generation 4 Haiti continues to grow in every sense of the word.
